Hi, I’m Karla Ortiz a San Diego native and proud border-town kid, shaped by the vibrant cultures of San Diego and Tijuana. Growing up between two worlds gave me a deep understanding of people, identity, and community, values that have fueled my 15+ year career in marketing, PR, and live event storytelling across sports, music, and entertainment.
My experience spans award-winning campaigns and high-profile productions, from the Super Bowl and UEFA Champions League at Paramount+ to grassroots music events and cultural initiatives through my agency, Limabonita. I specialize in building cross-platform strategies that blend digital, social, earned media, and live experiences: I’ve led everything from press rollouts and influencer partnerships to managing onsite logistics and planning major activations.
